we are tied in a knot
twisted and clotted
tighter than wire,
thrown in the fire,
expired. Together,
rebirthed in flames,
changed, never
to be the same.
No names from the past
stack up to fact;
so different now,
more than where we've been,
yet less than a complex vessel
bound by stress on numerous
levels, tethers tying us together
tighter than ever,
brighter than embers,
ready, whenever
to take a new shape.
But first we must separate...
accelerate away
until the void between
collapses the light.
What cannot be seen, then
envelopes everything.
Knotting time and dimensions
spawning dementia.
